About Childs Construction Services, Inc.

For years, David Childs used his education as an engineer working in commercial construction and multi-family complex maintenance. In 1994 he started his own business, Childs Construction Services, Inc (C.C.S.). Some of our first customers were part of a homeowners association, and it wasn’t long into that first year that we saw an opportunity that was largely overlooked in the industry. HOA maintenance has been largely skipped by most construction and maintenance companies, leaving associations to deal with much smaller, one man in a truck companies. These companies lack the organization and professionalism that maintenance customers in today’s market demand. This became our goal as a company, to fill this void and to provide a wide variety of excellent services to a group of people that have been largely disregarded.

“In order to accomplish our goal, we established procedures and systems that created a stable platform that has allowed our company to continue to expand and handle bigger jobs. We also created an information structure that can handle several hundred work orders a month, all while being readily accessible to office staff for quick referencing.”

Business structure is not the only thing that we needed to fulfill our goal. We needed employees who were well versed in maintenance, as well as customer service. Opening a training area for our employees was the key to fine tune their skills as well as specific challenges that we face in this environment. Also, as we have grown, we have also been able to add skilled office personnel to help our customers, board members and property managers with the information that they need in a timely manner.

C.C.S. has come a long way from where we started in 1994, and we still strive today to improve our strategies in order to continue setting the bar for customer service, work order turnaround and professionalism in this industry.
